The hotel exudes an inviting charm, providing comfortable rooms with wonderfully supportive beds and essential amenities such as air conditioning and flat-screen TVs. The serene outdoor swimming pool, framed by lush gardens, offers a peaceful retreat after daily activities. Although the dining options were limited, the breakfast and three-course dinner included in the package provided a taste of local dishes, enhancing the overall experience. The staff, particularly Laurence, were commendable, facilitating activities like visits to Bako and Semmenggoh, showcasing their commitment to guest satisfaction. While the food could benefit from variety, the charming atmosphere and picturesque setting make it an excellent base for exploring Sarawak without the hustle of Kuching. For travelers seeking a balance between comfort and cost, the Village House is a rewarding choice for any island getaway.
